The repeated, rhythmic marks become a collective and coherent body, like the starlings in the winter sky. The single brush mark is a single breath, the present moment. This book was born from the wonderful teaching experiences with my friend Kazuaki Tanahashi.

Materials: Richard de Bas, Arches Velin and Japanese washi papers, sumi ink, watercolor.
